Obama, Supports Bill that Removes Photos of Torture for Cover-up

I was on flickr, a service of Yahoo.com, making comments on several photos of the Official Whitehouse Photostream with the following text and image:

“The Obama White House is supporting a new bill (sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman) whose sole purpose is allowing the government to suppress any ‘photograph taken between September 11, 2001 and January 22, 2009′ relating to the treatment of detainees in the ‘War on Terror.’ In other words, Obama wants Congress to change the FOIA so that the courts can’t compel release of any more torture photos.”

Here is the same photo from another website:

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING SHOCKING PHOTO SHOWS AN ILLEGAL ACT OF TORTURE SPONSORED BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND IS STILL SUPPORTED BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

I had posted it on several of the “official Whitehouse photos” in the comments section. At about 11:00 pm on June 05, 2009 my flickr account was terminated. No explanation or anything. One second I was on and then I could not access my account. When I got back onto flickr using another account I went back to the Whitehouse site and all of my postings had been scrubbed. They were gone. I had about a years worth of work on that account and they just terminated my account with no warning. Some of the photos I had on the account had no back ups so they are now gone forever.

“This member is no longer active on Flickr.”

Apparently, flickr is OK with censorship and apparently so is the Whitehouse staff and the Obama administration. I find it rather ironic that I was making a comment on the Obama administration’s support for a censorship bill when I find myself being censored by both Yahoo and the Obama administration. It is also apparent that the Obama administration wishes to hide the criminal acts of the Bush administration by supporting the Graham/Lieberman bill.

This is unfortunate, so many people voted for Barack Obama because of his platform of Hope & Change, however many are now waking up to the fact that words like “hope” and “change” are really nothing more than campaign rhetoric used to solicit votes from an ill-informed and lazy populace. Where is the change? Barack Obama is looking more and more like George Bush everyday.

  11. any complete idiot knows to back up their important files. they should have still been on his computer if only excessible with a recover program or copied to discs. if he had done that he wouldn’t be wasting so much time bitching. he would have uploaded them somewhere else. the derailing of his cause is his own doing.

  12. Wow he got what he deserves. Im a Flickr account holder and ive seen his spam on the white house photostream. I feel that Flickr’s sole purpose is for photographers and hobbist alike to share their images and critiq eachothers work. Its a great social network filled with tons of intresting people whom share a love for photography. It should stay that way, and if people feel so strongly about todays issues they should look for political websites to spew their toxic hate. Oh yeah what a dumb a** , who doesnt back up their pics!! I seen his photostream, countless pics of nothing. YAWN! It wasnt a loss….

  14. You are just NOW learning of the way the liberals, socialists and Marxists are protecting “The One”….Barack Obama? I quit posting…..let them have their socialist misfit.

I must have lost ten to fifteen accounts at Digg.com and other liberal, socialist minded sites over the last two years trying to get a word in edgewise regarding the Democratic party and Barack Obama. These neolioberals are more like fascists than anything else.

    Give up already……why bother.

  15. P.S. To anyone who thinks my last comment is off the mark.

Then tell me, where is Code Pink and all the HUGE anti war socialist, Marxist, and antiAmerican groups at at? Don’t any of you remember the attacks on Condolezza Rice!!! Like when they attempted to put blood on her during a meeting in DC?

Code Pink, the Huffington Post, Daily Kos, KosTV, FiredogLake, and ALL the rest have GONE SILENT with regard to the war and the people dieing in it!

Gone are all the arguments about how Bush and Cheny treated the Gitmo prisoners and the way the war is being waged. 20,000 additional troops are in Afghanistan…and there is total silence from the far left!

As long as their socialist is in the White House….they don’t care if we all die.

  17. Well the Bankers have taken over the country in 1913 and the federal reserve is the problem. Both parties are Bought and paid for by the federal reserve which prints money out of nothing and charges full face value of the currency note to the government which in turn causes it to go bankrupt. When people address the actual problem, and finally realize that the international bankers are the ones who are controlling everything, then the world will have a change. Banks that print money from nothing and sell that currency to any government are actually owned by that banking system and the few that run it have unlimited wealth and power that can buy there way into and out of anything as long as people view that currency as one that has a trade value.
